Nomics Launches Watchlists + Portfolio Tracking

Watchlists (and portfolio tracking) are now available to all Nomics users. This means that anyone can create, update, and monitor a watchlist built from the 40,000+ cryptoassets listed on our site.

Getting Started With Watchlists

Then navigate to your watchlist and click the Add Assets button. A window will appear with the top cryptocurrencies by market cap and a search bar. Using search, you can add any asset on Nomics.com.

Portfolios, Market Data & More

Next to the Add Assets button are three tabs: Portfolio, Market Data, and Coverage.

Watchlist tabs: Portfolio, Market Data & Coverage

Portfolio allows you to enter quantities for each asset in your watchlist. Those quantities are multiplied by current trading prices to find real-time balances.

If you’re dollar-cost averaging, you can check in after each buy to make updates.

Market Data includes many of the stats you’re used to seeing on our homepage. For each asset in your watchlist, we show a current price, a percentage change, a 7-day price prediction, and market cap and volume data.

The third tab, Coverage, contains info like first candle, first trade, and number of trading pairs.

Above the watchlist are cards detailing your total balance and top gainers.

And you can modify and view your watchlist from any device – even your phone.

Come for the Coins, Stay for the Watchlist

Nomics is known for being first to list new cryptoassets. This brings many visitors in search of new and/or small-cap tokens that our competitors ignore.

Now, rather than flipping between page 1 – the top hundred coins by market cap – and the hidden gems living further down the rankings, you can track all your cryptoassets in one convenient window.

Watchlists have long been one of our most requested features. We’re proud to share this functionality with our community.

Our Mission: list new cryptoassets (and trading pairs) before anyone else.

Behind closed doors, our mission has always been to list assets and trading pairs first (i.e. to list cryptoassets before any other aggregator or website).

We’ve decided to publicly declare our mission for two reasons:

First, the mission to “list assets first” serves as a public commitment that holds us accountable to this brand promise.
Second, we believe this mission sets us apart from a sea of undifferentiated “me too” crypto aggregators, with unclear values and motivations.

We don’t know what our competitors stand for.

Nomics Adds Order Book & Trade Data for All Exchange Markets

Nomics Launches Chainlink Node and Bring Professional-Grade Crypto Asset Data On-Chain

We are pleased to announce that Nomics, the API-first crypto asset data provider, has launched a Chainlink oracle node to sell our premium financial data directly to smart contract applications across leading blockchain environments. By joining the Chainlink Network as a node operator, our existing suite of APIs will become blockchain-enabled, empowering us to supply decentralized applications (dApps) with high-quality crypto asset data to support new and existing on-chain financial products. Some of the initial data sets we plan to make available on-chain include historical trade data, live price data, market capitalizations, circulating supply, and open-high-low-close (OHLC) prices for leading currencies and exchanges.

As decentralized finance (DeFi) continues to grow into a parallel financial ecosystem, we identified a significant opportunity to connect our existing data APIs to blockchain environments as a means of supporting DeFi’s ongoing development. Our Chainlink node helps us to achieve this goal by providing us with an easy-to-integrate middleware that cryptographically signs and securely bridges our data on-chain, giving smart contract developers access to premium crypto data and strong assurances that the data is tamper-proof and directly from the Nomics API. Through the Chainlink node, we can greatly expand our business as a professional data provider by accessing new and emerging markets, as well as support the growth of a more fair and accessible global financial system.

Using the Nomics Chainlink Node to Access New Markets

Nomics provides professional-grade market data APIs to institutional crypto investors and exchanges, offering products and services with clean, normalized, and gapless primary source trade and order book data. Our objective is to boost the growth of the crypto economy by making market prices more accessible to data-driven investors. We achieve this by indexing 95% of the trade, order book, and transaction data for blockchain-based tokenized assets, including security tokens, tokenized funds, indexes, derivatives, REITs, and cryptocurrencies.

The majority of our customers rely heavily on data-informed trading strategies, which requires high-fidelity data, support availability, and confidentiality. As a market-leading data provider, we wanted to expand our reach and begin providing our premium crypto market data to on-chain financial applications within the DeFi ecosystem. However, due to the inherent security properties of blockchain networks, smart contracts cannot natively call off-chain APIs.
