About Bitkub

Headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, Bitkub Online is a new generation cryptocurrency exchange platform launched in May 2018. It was officially licensed by Thailand’s Ministry Of Finance on January 8, 2019. Also, Bitkub.com has been licensed by Thailand’s Security Exchange Commission (SEC). Aiming to become the most trusted and easy-to-use cryptocurrency exchange in Thailand, Bitkub strives to make blockchain and cryptocurrency services accessible to non-technical users.

Bitkub is backed by its parent company Bitkub Capital Group Holdings founded in February 2018. At the time of writing, it manages 4 subsidiaries: Bitkub Online, Bitkub Blockchain Technology, Bitkub Academy providing educational services, and Bitkub Ventures which is an investment firm. Bitkub Capital strives to expand the adoption of cryptocurrencies and the blockchain in Thailand. Initially funded by startup accelerators DTAC Accelerate and SeaX Ventures, Bitkub Capital Group was acquired by Siam Commercial Bank Group (SCB Group) on November 2, 2021.

Bitkub services

The Bitkub Investment Centre opened on October 15, 2021, to provide cryptocurrency enthusiasts with a space where they can meet, exchange investment ideas and share their knowledge, as well as consult with experts from the Digital Asset Strategist (DAS) team.

The referral program allows users to gain rewards for sending referral links to their friends and inviting them to join the platform. When a referral successfully completes a trade the referrer earns 20% cashback. Additionally, users receive a portion of their friends’ fees. The referral also receives a 20% bonus from the Refer a Friend Program.

As for the mobile application, Bitkub is available for both Android and iOS devices and provides the same functionality as the desktop version does.

Bitkub security

Bitkub prioritizes the convenience and the security of its customers above everything else. First of all, the platform lists only trusted cryptocurrencies. Its Legal and Compliance team screens every digital asset in accordance with the listing procedure approved by the SEC.

To improve security, Bitkub relies on various technologies such as SPF, LetsEncrypt, and Mobile Non Scaleable Content. To secure the system it uses a security panel that passed the Hacking System Test (Pen-test) accredited in many regions. Besides, the platform features obligatory two-factor authentication (2FA and an optional SMS OTP Authentication to increase the security of withdrawals. Bitkub has also implemented a Security Questions function in case of suspicious withdrawal requests. Moreover, the platform is protected by advanced system security methods and is subject to international independent audits.

Bitkub’s trading conditions

Bitkub operates 24 hours every day including weekends and provides 24/7 customer support. You can open an account with Bitkub as a general or corporate customer. The information on the trading platform is available in two languages: English and Thai. Traders have all the necessary technical analysis tools and charts at their disposal such as Trading View, the order book, latest trade, open orders, order history, price, and volume. They can check the prices and trends of cryptocurrencies listed on Bitkub.com in real-time.

The exchange offers 30+ quality coins and 50+ markets to trade. It facilitates the exchange of Thai Baht (THB) for other cryptocurrencies and vice versa as every digital asset on the platform can be traded against this fiat asset.

The Bitkub exchange provides 2 ways to buy and sell coins. Limit orders allow users to set their desired purchase price per coin themselves while market orders imply automatic settlement of prices to help users get the best option available in a given moment in time. In order to buy cryptocurrencies, you must have a positive THB credit balance in your wallet.

The platform charges a 0.25% commission on all trades when the buy and sell transactions are completed. Deposits and withdrawals are free. Deposits can be made with fiat or cryptocurrencies while the minimum deposit for Thai baht is 40 THB. The minimum trading volume for both cryptocurrencies and fiat on the Bitkub exchange is established at 10 THB while the maximum size limits are not defined. However, the exchange does not accept transfers with more than 8 decimal points.

Bitkub Coin

Bitkub Coin or KUB is a native utility token of the Bitkub network. The maximum KUB supply is limited to 1 billion coins. 890 million of them will be burned to keep the KUB value stable. The token is used to pay transaction fees, redeem trading fee credit on the exchange, and govern the Bitkub Chain (Bitkub blockchain) ecosystem. Partners and merchants can use KUB to exchange for their services and products. It can be traded on Bitkub exchange against THB and kept in the Bitkub NEXT (a multi-cryptocurrency wallet). In addition, KUB holders have the possibility to lock KUB on Bitkub NEXT and earn rewards.

Fee credits

Traders who take part in the platform’s campaigns receive fee credits in THB as rewards. The fee credits allow users to get discounts on trading fees in the THB market and are applied automatically. Fee credits cannot be traded, withdrawn, or transferred.
